Young Money Cash Money is one of few camps in today’s music genre whose roster continues to grow as time moves on. With superstars such as Lil’ Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj in their front line I thought YMCMB was at the top of their game.

It seems the camp is taking a new direction for the new year and expanding their family. Recently news waves began to buzz about veteran rappers Busta Rhymes and Mystikal signing to the label. In my heart I was praying it was just a rumor so I turned to the one site where I knew I would get a direct answer, twitter.

So there you have it folks, the rumor is no longer a rumor, it is now a fact. If you still can’t believe it check out this video:

Most people may see this as a good move for Busta and I won’t knock it, it probably will be. But I also feel like his relevance and legacy in the rap game has been tarnished. Maybe I’m being close minded but I just can’t see a veteran rapper such as Busta going into a camp that is 75% amateurs. Now don’t get me wrong, I respect the camp and their movement but seeing this just makes me question how long Busta will be able to continue his relevance/legacy in the rap game.
