God forgive me for saying this and I’m not saying it to be funny, but I truly think Usher needs to keep his kids away from water other then the bath tub. It’s clear that it’s not their best friend. Almost a year ago, his step son (from ex-wife Tameka Foster), Kile Glover, died from injuries suffered during a ski boat accident. Now his oldest son, 5 year-old Usher Raymond V. was involved in a water incident of his own.
On Monday, August 5th., the 5 year-old nearly drowned while trying to retrieve a toy from the bottom of the pool when he got caught in a drain. At the time his father was not home so he and his 4 year-old brother Naviyd were left in the care of an aunt, a housekeeper and another unknown woman. The women couldn’t get him out the pool, but a sound technician who was doing work on the property was able to pull him out and perform CPR. When the ambulance arrived Usher (son) was conscious, alert and breathing.
Thank God he’s okay, but here’s my problem. I don’t care how good of a swimmer he may be. He could be a baby Michael Phelps for all I care, but the fact of the matter is YOU DO NOT LEAVE A CHILD UNATTENDED IN A POOL! That was complete negligence on everyone who was trusted to watch these kids.
For those who didn’t know, Usher (father) was granted custody of his 2 boys after a bittersweet custody battle with his ex-wife Tameka. Naturally as anyone would expect Tameka filed an emergency motion to the court to gain custody of her children claiming, again, that Usher was an absentee father. She claims that he’s away from his home (Atlanta) and children at least 85% of the time each month leaving them with people who proved they are not properly fit to supervise her children. She also mentioned that Usher (father) doesn’t communicate with her regarding the children as far as school, activities and other things. He hasn’t even given her a home number to contact him or her children.
I don’t know the family personally, but I could already tell God would have to truly be on Usher’s side with this one because Tameka has very valid, strong and proven accusations that just might work in her favor. I know that’s going to completely crush his world if he loses his boys, but it seems like it’s about to happen.
And before everybody jumps on me for this post, or jump on her for filing those papers in court, I only said what others were thinking, but wouldn’t say. And put yourself in her position, not even a year ago she buried her oldest son due to a negligent water accident and to turn around a few months later to get a call that your second oldest was just in a near death WATER accident. Of course that would send her over the edge.
